Guiding Scripture: Romans 14:10 ‘You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.’

Opinions. We all have them. Some people intently listen and try to find the middle ground, while others are more manipulative. They ‘know’ best, and their preferences deserve preferential treatment.
In Romans 14, the Apostle Paul warns and guides the believers to be loving in all situations. Especially those that could create unnecessary division.
The Jews disagreed with Paul’s teaching of the Gospel and also disagreed with each other. Arguments over insignificant things like food and Sabbath day divided the community. Oddly enough, we still debate these issues today.
The goal in this life is to behave like a member of God’s kingdom. As Christ-followers, we can ask ourselves: “what leads to peace?”
