217: Tristen Norman of Getty Images & Damon J. Gillespie of ‘Tiny Pretty Things’

In this week’s episode of the BGN podcast, we bring two fabulous segments.  Tristen Norman, the Head of Creative Insights for Getty Images and actor Damon J. Gillespie of the Netflix series ‘Tiny Pretty Things’.

Segment 1:  Tristen Norman operates as one-part visual anthropologist and two-parts data scientist – working across disciplines to understand what motivates visual selection, identify trends within visual language, and using this data to help shape the development of Getty’s creative content globally. She chats about the work culture at Getty and diversity in the photography industry.

Segment 2: Damon plays “Caleb,” a​ handsome dancer who uses his ready humor and undeniable talent, in order to mask his struggles with a profound loss — and a secret that could unravel the institution. Within the show, Damon shows off his exemplary dance skills, having grown up as a professional Hip-Hop dancer and trained in Ballroom, Jazz, and Tap, in addition to Ballet, since he was 3 years old.
