You’ve Got Decisions: This White Guy Kept Me On Read? podcast
In an interview with Billboard Live, Garth Brooks criticized the consumers and country music artists who have stopped buying, drinking, and serving Bud Light over the brand’s decision to partner with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Brooks is opening a honky-tonk in Nashville and told Billboard it will be serving all brands of beer — including Bud Light — and if people don’t like it, they shouldn’t show up. “If you’re an a**hole,” Brooks said, “there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway.” He doubled down on his words, saying he believes diversity is the answer to all of America’s problems — past, present, and future. Jason says he couldn’t be more wrong. “Diversity is not a solution to America’s problems or anyone’s. It’s an excuse and a tool for elites to pursue power.” As NFL camps open around the league, it’s the Buffalo Bills who are making headlines — but not for what’s happening on the field. Star receiver Stefon Diggs left the facility earlier this week over some beef with quarterback Josh Allen. Even though Diggs would later return to the team, Jason says this is a warning sign that his days in Buffalo could be over. Former NFL receiver and “Fearless” contributor T.J. Moe joins the show to discuss the Diggs drama and share his perspective on quarterback/receiver relationships. Former 76ers head coach Doc Rivers had some tough words for James Harden. Jordan Bowles joins Jason to discuss Doc’s thoughts. In Tennessee Harmony, Anthony Walker and Virgil Walker discuss an interesting take on a popular scripture that fuels a conversation about politics at the pulpit.
