He has published in several leading journals, including award-winning articles on the white-supremacist nature of the US government and racist cultures in white evangelical churches. He is currently working on two books—Saving Whiteness, which analyzes white evangelicalism as a race-based social movement; and 21st Century Lynchings, examining recent white-on-black killings and black responses to high-profile murders.
