In this episode (You’re supposed to be the rock), I conclude my conversation with Nkem discussing key aspects he considered in getting married and that he values in his marriage.

We investigate the importance of marrying someone in the same culture. We discuss why for some guys it’s important for a woman to take their last name. We highlight how it is growing up in the Nigerian culture and the impact it can have on relationships. We examine the difference between being the rock for your family and being the source of strength for them. We also spend time on things we want to replicate from the culture we were brought up in and things that we don’t.
