In this episode (There is no playbook), I talk about the stress of navigating tough personal seasons while in a relationship and some of the personal growth required to be a good partner. I continue my conversation from episode 3 with a friend, who’s been recently married, and examine his journey towards marriage.
We discuss the importance of having support during extremely difficult personal times and struggles. We focus on what it means to really understand your partner in marriage and to be a leader of the household. We highlight the ongoing learning process that occurs and the challenges of not having proper examples growing up. We go deep on how tough situations (like losing your job) can affect your relationship. We also examine the ways pride can get in the way of asking for help and getting the support you need to move forward.
We are on all major platforms. Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, GooglePlay Music, TuneIn, SoundCloud, Castbox, and many others. Don’t forget subscribe, share with your friends, and leave a review.
