#3577: The Rules Of Authority

podcast February 27, 2026

Background
share close

In this episode, I explain why authority is taken, not granted. I don’t believe people respect you because they like you or think you’re smart. They respect authority when resisting it would cost them more than accepting it. At a basic level, it’s about power and consequences, not feelings. People fall in line because it makes practical sense, not because they were persuaded.

Show Notes:

[02:47]#1 Any authority that you have must be enforced, not requested.

[11:46]#2 Consistency makes authority unavoidable.

[19:06]#3 Distance protects authority more than proximity.

[27:14]#4 Recap

Next Steps:

Power Presence is not taught.
It is enforced.
If you are operating in environments where hesitation costs money, authority, or leverage, the Power Presence Mastermind exists as a controlled setting for discipline, execution, and consequence-based decision-making.
