32. Building a Path to FIRE with Cathleen Hutchins

In this episode I interviewed Cathleen Hutchins. Cathleen and I discuss how she was able to afford a home in Hawaii as a federal employee through cooking at home, habit-formed budgeting, and buying second hand. She put herself through college on an (almost) full scholarship by seeking out opportunities and never letting one slip by. Cathleen is a perfect example of how living a frugal life can be enjoyable with less sacrifice than you think. She doesn’t deprive herself or her family of anything and is always searching for the most cost-effective way to enjoy life.
