The Top 20 Countdown Show (The Series) Episode 2 – Our Favorite Romantic Movies 2/19/2026 podcast
In today’s episode, I discuss how to stop being over-responsible for those you love in your life. Because sometimes, it’s hard to distinguish helping from empowering to break the pattern of over-responsibility.
Being over-responsible can hinder your loved one’s growth and development, as well as lead to controlling behavior in relationships. The intention to help and protect your loved ones is admirable, but it can sometimes result in enabling rather than empowering them.
So, let me share some insights on how to shift from enabling to empowering your loved ones and emphasize the importance of developing your mental, emotional, spiritual, and psychological strength to stand on your own two feet.
Love is a commitment to serving someone’s soul, which may require stepping back and allowing them to find their own way. So staying connected to loved ones and being present without feeling the need to constantly fix or do things for them, thus creating space for their personal growth is what matters.
Would you like to learn more about expressing true love and caring for your loved ones? Tune in to this week’s episode to discover how you can extend your support in a healthy and effective way.
