I had a terrible night of rest the other day. My youngest son wanted to stay up and keep nursing all night long. Needless to say the next day I was dragging. I had to take a nap, something I never get to do, and it was great!
I’m intentionally working on getting more rest because it’s necessary for me to function the way I need to.
What happens to your body when you don’t get enough rest:
- You may get sick
- You gain weight
- You forget things and get foggy
- You are accident prone
Reasons why you aren’t getting enough rest:
- You take sleep for granted
- You rely on caffeine and alcohol
- Eating and drinking late
- Failing to wind down before bed
