Hi friend,
This one is for Black women who are tired of being strong.
Folks say, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, but is that true?
The strong Black woman trope has had me as a Black woman young girl oppressed, depressed and distressed.
We tend to tell folks that hard times makes us stronger, but many times what doesn’t kill us now, we pay for later; trauma, mental illness, chronic illness and more.
Let’s talk about it.
much love, joy and rest,
Alecia
