Former Ohio State and Florida head coach Urban Meyer knows a thing or two about winning at the college level, and he recently revealed he sees something in Colorado. The former head coach took a trip to Boulder to learn about the program, and he revealed to his surprise just how good the team looked. While he did cite depth as an issue, he also explained that if they can stay healthy this team will be able to make waves. I break down why this is good news for the team, and what it means coming from someone like Urban Meyer.
09:09 We received an update on the Colorado linebackers and as we expected there are some guys that are standing out more than others. Both Alabama transfer Demou Kennedy and Clemson transfer LaVonta Bentley are leading the way as detailed by one of the coaches. It was also revealed that a returner from last season’s 1-11 roster was doing well, and that Florida State transfer Brendan Gant has yet to practice.
14:52 It’s Coach Prime’s Birthday!! While he likely is receiving all of the well wishes possible, I break down why those aren’t enough. I dive into just how he has not only saved the program, but has completely changed Colorado for the better. His short tenure in Colorado has been one that has experienced success that didn’t even seem imaginable. He has made Colorado a hot spot for recruits and transfers, generated fan interest, and may have been the biggest reason that the Big 12 wanted to add Colorado so much.
