In a bonus episode, B. Cox looks back 20 years ago to the Summer of 2002. It was a summer packed with hit songs that would become classics. Among the memorable tracks that would populate this soundtrack would be Nelly's two massive #1 Hot 100 hits: "Hot In Herre" and "Dilemma" featuring Kelly Rowland. The two songs spent a combined 17 weeks atop the charts. Also dominating the summer was R&B singer Ashanti, who brought in the summer with her #1 single "Foolish", but also contributed on key singles such as "What's Love" with Fat Joe and "Down 4 U" featuring Murder Inc.
The rest of the summer featured other hits from the likes of Big Tymers, Cam'Ron, Clipse, Amerie and N.O.R.E. Coupled with the beginning of the emergence of dancehall reggae on the charts by the end of the summer, it made for a memorable soundtrack.
