About the guest

Shaun Stewart work as the bar manager, cocktail specialist and craft cocktail extraordinaire at JBGBs. The more whiskey focused bar I was the bar manager of was The Elk Room in Baltimore, Maryland. During my time there, I developed 2 menus that included specialty drinks, a rotating seasonal sangria, and a bottled cocktail program. The program that I was running was nominated as one of the top 25 bars in Esquire magazine.  I have achieved recognition in the industry as a member of the Bartender’s Guild and have competed in Ryes Up in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2021. Prior, I helped put together the bar programs at Gunther & Co. and bar Liquorice in Baltimore and was rewarded with being the best new bar in Baltimore 2014.

Once taking over the cocktail program at bar Liquorice, we’ve won a few awards. We won “Best New Bar 2014” from the City Paper. We won “Best New Neighborhood Bar 2015” from Baltimore Magazine. They also named us one of the top 50 Bars in the area.  We were listed as the first bar in the Federal Hill/Riverside area.

I have also competed in Bacardi Legacy and was a finalist for Glennfiddich Experimental Bartender of the Year.
