We sat down with musician/trumpeter Brandon Woody to discuss his debut album – “For The Love Of It All.” Brandon is a Baltimore native who began his training at the Baltimore School of the Arts, and went on to Study at the Brubeck Institute in California, as well as the Manhattan School of Music. He’s since gone onto work with artists like Solange, Robert Glasper, Lalah Hathway and more, brands like Calvin Klein, Nike, Reebok. He’s performed at venues like the the Newport Jazz Festival and can be seen at the upcoming Roots Picnic. In 2017 he formed his band, “Upendo,” and has since signed with Blue Note Records where he released his debut album this month!
