Black Podcasting - Episode 69: I'm Glad my Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

Welcome back!! This week your favorite fake ass friends dive in to the controversially titled memoir "I'm glad my Mom Died" by Jennette McCurdy. She was famous for her role as the feisty and fierce "Sam Puckett '' on Nickelodeon's hit series, iCarly and Sam & Cat. McCurdy stepped away from the popular role and officially quit acting in 2017. Although Kat didn't read the book this week, Moni managed to navigate the deeply personal and sometimes disturbing events of Jennette's life as a child actor. They discuss the difficulty of abusive parental relationships, the awkwardness of growing up in front of the camera, and the resilience it takes to overcome your own demons.

Warning: Adult Content & Language, please be advised this show is for adults 18 and up and the open minded.

Spoiler ALERT!!! If you don't want to hear details from this book, come back after you've read this book.
