Join host Brenda Darden Wilkerson as she chats with Bridget Todd, the powerhouse behind the hit podcast “There are No Girls on the Internet” and a leading voice in the fight for digital inclusion. Together, they dissect the biases in tech and explore the industry’s encroachment on our power and privacy in even the most intimate parts of our lives. Then, they go beyond the problems and dive into the paradigm shift needed if we are to change the status quo. Bridget pushes us all to reject the notion that tech is too complicated for most folks to understand or that its founders and leaders are too powerful to challenge. She isn’t having it, and neither are we.
“I think that we need to get to a place where tech leaders understand that even if I’m not an engineer, even if I’m not like a techie, I still am an expert in my experience. I use this technology every day and this technology uses me every day… I am the expert of my experience and I am allowed to take up space and say that these people have tricked us into thinking that they are smarter than us.”

At AnitaB.org, we envision a future where the people who imagine and build technology mirror the people and societies for whom they build it. Find out more about how we support women, non-binary individuals, and other underrepresented groups in computing, as well as the organizations that employ them and the academic institutions training the next generations.
