The biggest question around Colorado heading into 2023 is whether or not the experiment will work. There are a ton of moving pieces combined with the fact that the Pac-12 is super strong. That is why I brought on former USC QB and Pac-12 analyst Max Browne to discuss all things Buffs. We talk about the success the Buffs can have in year one, and what can be considered a success. The Buffs have a lot of doubters to prove wrong, and while it won’t be easy they do happen to have the perfect man for the job to do so in Deion Sanders.
10:21 As a former quarterback himself in the Pac-12, Max Browne can offer some very interesting perspectives on what challenges Shedeur Sanders will be facing in 2023. There are a multitude of factors that can either propel Shedeur or hinder him, and Max dives into what those are whether it’s his decisions, offensive line or most importantly how he responds to adversity.
17:41 Lastly, we dive into the discussion of pressure vs. expectations for Colorado. Max explains how much pressure that there should be on Colorado when you consider their circumstances, and explains that while some people are overdoing it the pressure level shouldn’t be that high. I then bring up the reasons that while the pressure may be low, that people will have unrealistic expectations just to shoot the program down.
