Black Podcasting - BIN Exclusive: Dear Summer Festival

What started as a gathering among HBCU alumni has grown into a multi-city celebration of Black culture, music, and community.

The Dear Summer Festival has become more than an entertainment experience. Organizers say its mission is centered around creating spaces for connection while investing in the communities they visit.

BIN News Anchor Amber Payton sat down with the founders of Dear Summer to discuss the festival’s growth, their HBCU roots, the expansion of the event, and the community initiatives they lead before each festival.

The founders shared why giving back is at the heart of their mission and how they’re working to create experiences that extend beyond the stage and leave a lasting impact in each city they visit.
