As we approach the holiday season, I know many of us experience a heavy tug of loneliness, especially when battling depression. This episode is a little different, as I’m addressing something that’s been on my heart: the destructive cycle of self-isolation, particularly during the holidays.
Today, I’ll explore what the Bible says about community, from the very beginning in Genesis to the wisdom in Ecclesiastes and Proverbs. I’ll also share some personal reflections on how pride has played a role in my tendency to isolate, even when I have a solid support system.
If you’re someone who struggles with withdrawing when you’re low, I hope this episode encourages you to reach out to your people — even if it’s just a text or a small step. The holiday season can be tough, but we were never meant to walk this journey alone.
So, join me as we reflect on the importance of community, humility, and vulnerability, and how leaning into the people God has placed in our lives is a key part of our healing journey.
Remember, you don’t have to navigate this season of life on your own — and that’s something worth celebrating!
Let’s embark on this journey of healing together as we confront our feelings, seek truth, and lean on God for understanding. Tune in, and let’s get started!
